In this constantly changing world, staying relevant is as important as it gets for a brand. Alas, it’s every bit as difficult as it’s ever been—with short audience attention spans and a whole heap of competition. Even we need to keep on our toes to stay connected with the latest trends and cultural narratives. That’s why our very own Tokyo Saltshakers shook things up recently with a trip to C2 2019 in Montreal.
Our experience was phenomenal, and led to actionable ideas we can use to make meaningful changes in the world right now. We learned from a researcher working to improve the infrastructure of the First Nations community. We were inspired by a young psychology student with an eye on AI’s applications for mental health. We marvelled at a communications expert who uses her years of theatre experience to get to the heart of human connection. We could go on all day.
We came out of the experience with a renewed understanding of just how important cross-industry collaboration is in creating culture-shifting new paradigms. These days, the boundaries between industries are gossamer thin—and it’s up to all of us to step through that veil and out of our comfort zones. Interacting with people who have completely different experiences from yours will lead to fresh insights that can help you and your business stay ahead of the curve.
Inspiration is everywhere.
